The recovery of Cima Grappa war memorial and cemetery
The plan devoted to the Cima Grappa War Memorial and Cemetery includes the implementation of cleaning, consolidation and restoration works involving the Via Eroica and the memorial stones located along the monumental staircase at the entrance of the War Memorial, besides the restoration and the recovery of the gates and the grating of Portale Roma.
Furthermore, an integration of the building facilities is also planned, representing the natural completion of the regulatory provisions as well as the renovation of the entire Caserma Milano.
The main goal is to allow making the entire gallery accessible – in the necessary safety conditions – through the performance of structural consolidation and restoration works on the paving and the walls of the gallery.
Furthermore, the recovery of the internal part of the Hypogeum Ossuary – already destined to War Cemetery purposes and presently abandoned – is scheduled, in order to organise a thematic exhibition area to be integrated with Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, therefore allowing the availability of an absolutely remarkable exhibition complex.
